Vozart MIDI Studio is a lightweight online MIDI editor designed for creators who want to preview, play, and make basic edits to their MIDI files in a visual way. This version does not support AI prompt-based generation and is focused solely on local file editing.

How to Use
Step 1: Start a New Project or Upload a MIDI File
- Go to vozart.ai/midi-studio.
- To start fresh, click File → New.
- To upload an existing file, click File → Open and select a .mid file from your computer.
Step 2: Choose an Instrument
- Click the track label (e.g., “Acoustic Grand Piano”).
- A pop-up will appear with instrument categories such as Pianos, Strings, Guitars, Synths, and more.
- Select an instrument and click OK to apply it to the track.
Step 3: Add Notes Using the Piano Roll
- Select the Pencil Tool from the toolbar on the right.
- Click or click-and-drag on the piano roll grid to draw notes.
- Use the Selection Tool to move or resize notes as needed.
- Adjust note velocity using the control bar below the grid.
Step 4: Play and Control Your Composition
- Use the bottom playback controls to play, pause, or stop.
- Adjust the tempo (BPM) using the control at the top.
- To loop a section: Hold Cmd (Mac) or Ctrl (Windows) and click on the timeline to set the loop start. Hold Alt and click to set the loop end point.
Step 5: Generate Music with AI Tools (Optional)
- Click on “AI Music Tools” in the top menu.
- Follow these steps for AI-assisted generation: Upload a MIDI file or start with a blank project. Choose a music style or mood. Let the AI generate ideas or rearrange your structure. Edit the result using the piano roll.
Step 6: Export Your MIDI File
- Once you're done editing, go to File → Download MIDI File to save the project to your computer.
- To save online for future access, click Sign In and log in using Google, GitHub, or Apple.
Step 7: Explore Additional Features
- Solo or mute tracks for focused editing.
- Loop specific sections for practice or arrangement.
- All editing is done locally in your browser — no files are uploaded.
- Compatible with modern browsers like Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge.
Current Limitations
- No AI prompt input or generation support
- Instrument sounds and plugins are not customizable
- Advanced features like chord detection and auto-arrangement are not yet supported

Q1: Can I generate MIDI with AI in this tool?
Not yet. This version is for uploading and editing existing MIDI files only. AI generation is planned for future updates.
Q2: My MIDI file won't load. What should I do?
Make sure it’s a valid .mid file under 10MB. If the issue persists, please contact [email protected].
Q3: Can I export my edited MIDI file?
Export functionality is currently not available but is on our roadmap for upcoming releases.
